En-Thai-Sing opened in the summer of 2005. It’s owners, Mark and Rachel have lived locally for over twenty years and decided to embark on the project with two key goals in mind. The first was to provide first class food in a first class environment for the town of Mildenhall and the second was to pursue their love of Thai food and culture. Mildenhall is a small market town just off the A11 at Barton Mills in Suffolk. It is steeped in history and boasts many unique and interesting elements from it’s historic town centre, where the famous  Mildenhall Roman Treasure can be viewed at the museum, to special links with industry and a large, local Anglo-American community. The opportunity to open a restaurant in Mildenhall arose when a perfect site right in the town centre became vacant. While getting busy converting the site to be a restaurant, Mark and Rachel knew that the most difficult challenge to overcome would be in ensuring the right staff to create the most important aspect of authentic Thai food. They wanted chefs who could re-create the wondrous flavours of North to South Thai cuisine and waiting staff who would serve the food in the typically Thai fashion of ‘treat as you would be treated’ while maintaining gentle care for the customers every need. They achieved it! Now established to great acclaim locally for the best Thai food, amidst an experienced and demanding local community, En-Thai-Sing has received great reviews and become a destination restaurant of choice. The fantastic food and service is supported by the restaurant’s location in Mildenhall being so easy to find and access, central to all the best town amenities, ample parking facilities surround it, with taxi and bus ranks right on the door step. Mark and Rachel are proud to have achieved their goals for En-Thai-Sing and being local are extremely proud of the fact that they have brought something a bit special to the great town of Mildenhall.
